Rethinking the Ballgag: The Tongue Depressor Design Evolution The ballgag is one of the most recognizable restraint objects. Simple in appearance, effective in function — a sphere, a strap, and silence. But over time, we wanted to try the tongue depressor effect on the ballgag What if the ball itself could guide the tongue, not just block speech? That question led to a structural evolution — the integration of a tongue depressor design directly into the ball. From Blocking to Guiding A classic ballgag works mainly by opening the mouth. It prevents clear speech, but inside the mouth, the tongue still has room to move. The tongue can: Press upward Shift the ball slightly Adjust internal pressure So we rethought the geometry. Instead of adding a separate insert, the ball itself was redesigned to include an internal silicone extension — a continuation of the ball’s form that naturally rests on the tongue.   USA, guess who's back In early August 2025, we were hit with a major change: our logistics partner informed us of two pieces of bad news that would disrupt all our shipments to the United States. First, the introduction of a 15% customs tariff on products manufactured in France — including ours. Second, the early termination of the de minimis exemption, originally expected in 2026 or 2027, but unexpectedly enforced at the end of August 2025. The impact was immediate: U.S. Customs stopped accepting any parcels without prepaid duties . As a result, most European postal services — including La Poste in France — suspended their shipments to the United States.   🚨 Bad News of the Day: Shipping to the U.S. Suspended Dear customers, We regret to inform you that our shipping services to the United States are temporarily suspended . Following a recent decision by the USPS (United States Postal Service), we are no longer able to ship parcels under the DAP and DDU incoterms. Why this suspension? Due to the introduction of new customs duties applied from the very first dollar , USPS has decided to stop accepting parcels shipped under DAP and DDU conditions . This decision comes as a result of several key factors: Customs procedures have become more complex and more expensive . Shipping costs to the U.S. are now at least three times higher in many cases. USPS, along with other postal operators, wants to avoid managing millions of parcels that could otherwise be stuck either in the U.S. or at the country of origin.  New U.S. Tariffs – What It Means for Your Orders august 10th update If you live in the United States, this update concerns you directly — and unfortunately, it’s not the kind of news we like to share. The U.S. government has recently implemented new customs tariffs. As we are based in France, our handmade products will be affected by a 15% customs duty when imported into the U.S. The Current Situation For the moment, most of our shipments to the U.S. fall under the de minimis exemption : orders valued at less than $800 USD are not subject to customs duties. This is why you have not yet seen any impact on your orders. Unfortunately, this exemption will end on August 29, 2025 . What Happens After August 29?
